Privacy Policy
How SaaS Build Directory handles your information.
Last updated:
1. Scope
This policy covers SaaS Build Directory at saasbuilddirectory.com, including browsing the directory, signing in to existing accounts, receiving emails and contacting support. Registration, public submissions and directory service purchases are temporarily closed. It does not cover the independent tools and websites linked from our directory.
2. Information you provide
- Accounts. When you sign in with Google or GitHub, we receive the profile information needed for authentication, such as your provider identifier, name, email address and avatar. Email sign-in uses your email address and a temporary verification code or magic link. We store account, authentication and session records to maintain your access.
- Directory information. We store the tool name, website, description, categories, pricing model, logos, screenshots and any other listing details you maintain. Published listing content is public. We also process information you send when requesting corrections or removal.
- Emails and support. We process the email address you use for newsletter subscriptions or support, the contents of messages you send us, and information needed to deliver account and listing notifications.
3. Website, cookie and device information
Authentication cookies maintain your session. Local browser storage can remember preferences. Our infrastructure and security services may process IP addresses, browser information, request timestamps and technical logs to operate the site and prevent abuse. This information is not necessarily anonymous.
When enabled, analytics and source tracking may record pages visited, referring URLs, campaign parameters, device and browser details, approximate location derived from your IP address, and usage attribution. Cookies or similar technologies may be used by the analytics, advertising or referral services enabled on the site.
You can manage cookies and local storage through your browser. Blocking authentication cookies may prevent sign-in; clearing local storage may remove preferences.
4. How we use information
We use information to authenticate users, operate and search the directory, maintain directory information, deliver emails, respond to support requests, improve the site and investigate spam, fraud or security incidents. Account notifications are separate from newsletter updates.
Emails are delivered through Resend. Newsletter subscriptions may also create an email contact record. Newsletter emails include an unsubscribe link; you can also contact us to request removal from marketing communications. Unsubscribing does not prevent essential authentication emails.
5. Service providers and public information
We use providers for hosting, databases, image storage, authentication, email delivery and security. They receive the information needed to perform those functions. Google and GitHub handle their own sign-in flows; using them is also subject to their privacy policies.
Cloudflare Turnstile protects email sign-in requests against automated abuse. Cloudflare processes browser and device signals to issue a verification token, which our server validates. See Cloudflare's Turnstile privacy policy.
Published tool names, descriptions, images, categories and provider links are visible to visitors and may be indexed by search engines. Account email addresses are not published as part of a listing unless you include them in its public content. We do not sell your personal information. We may disclose information when legally required or necessary to protect users and the service.
6. Retention, security and international processing
We retain information while needed for account and directory services, support, security or legal obligations. Retention depends on the type of record; deleting an account may not immediately remove records subject to legal requirements or backup retention. Providers may process information outside your country of residence.
We use access controls and authentication to protect information, but no online service can guarantee complete security. Keep your mailbox, provider accounts and sign-in links secure, and notify us if you suspect unauthorized access.
7. Your choices and requests
Existing account holders can update their profile. Listing corrections can be requested using the contact address below. Depending on applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, portability, or restriction of your personal information. Contact us using the address below; we may need to verify that a request relates to your account before acting on it.
This service is intended for developers, founders and teams, and is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can investigate.
8. Updates and contact
We may revise this policy as the directory changes and will update the date above. For privacy questions or requests, email support@saasbuilddirectory.com.
See our Terms of Service for the rules governing use of the directory.
